Please read the following policies before beginning tutoring.
- Offerings: I am available for private/group tutoring or teaching a math course (additional fees may apply).
- Commitment: Tutoring sessions and teaching sessions are 1-hour long. In order to best serve each student, it is important that I am available consistently each week to every student, therefore I request that each student comes at the same time each week and commits to one-month increments. I do offer drop-in tutoring sessions for students that need occasional tutoring; these sessions are on a first-come, first-serve basis as my schedule allows.
- Payment: Your payment secures your time slot regardless of attendance. Monthly payments forregular tutoring will be due by the first class of each month. Payments for drop-in sessions are due immediately upon scheduling and are not confirmed until e-payment is received; these payments are non-refundable. I accept cash, check or electronic payments via Venmo, Google Pay, Zelle, or bank-to-bank transfers. Please make checks payable to Charylcie Wilemon.
- Pricing: Tutoring sessions are $40.00/hour; Drop-in tutoring sessions are $45 each. Students who schedule 2 or more sessions per week are given a $5 discount for the 2nd and subsequent sessions.
- Invoices: Invoices for regular monthly sessions will be e-mailed by the first of each month. Invoices will include any accrued late fees or refunds.
- Late Payments: Payment is considered late on the 10th, at which point a late fee of $5 will be added to your account. An additional fee of $5 will be added for each additional week. If payment is not received by the next month’s due date, your spot may be forfeited and given to another student. Feel free to mail your payment to the address above.
- Cancellations and Rescheduling: This cancellation policy is intended to provide a good balance between being fair to the client and fair to myself. My aim is to make sure that people will do their best to stay on top of their calendars so they will not take up tutoring slots that they are not going to use. My other purpose is to find out early about openings in order to let you, the client, have a chance to book sessions when you need extra or change dates and allow me blocks of time to commit to my other job(s).
- Cancellations must be communicated in a timely fashion, preferably 24 hours before meeting. If there is a need to cancel a session after payment, every effort will be made to reschedule the session. I cannot guarantee that I will always be available to reschedule.
- No-shows will incur a $25 fee; any prepayment will be credited to the next month minus the no-show fee.
Cancellation by the teacher: If I need to cancel a session for any reason, I will schedule a makeup session as soon as possible. If a reschedule is not possible, I will prorate the payment for the following month.
